Women from all over look for great gear to fit their needs. When colder weather hits, warmer gear is needed. I know it’s different for all women from every state or region. For example, I live in Tennessee; it doesn’t get as cold as it does up north. However it does get cold enough. Here’s what I found that works great from me as a female hunter.
Scentlok – Women’s Cold Blooded Gear
First of all, Scentlok is known for the Carbon Alloy Technology material that keeps you scent free in the field. Here’s a run down on it…
It blocks 99.8% of tested odors. It gets activated by the dryer and should only be washed if muddy or bloody. It’s treated to absorb up to 3x more hydrogen sulfide or strong breath odor. It also has zeolite that extends the scent control even further. Basically it keeps your scent locked up tight.
Cold Blooded 3-in-1 Parka/Jacket
This super comfy jacket is windproof and waterproof to keep you warm and dry. Inside it has a very comfortable, removable vest with a fleece lining. There are six convenient pockets to store whatever you need. The insulation is 100g body and 60g sleeves. This jacket is great for temps 40° and under. It’s even made with brush tricot fabric to keep your movements quiet.
Cold Blooded Pants
These comfy pants are made just like the jacket with the same technology and brush tricot fabric. They’re also windproof and waterproof just like the jacket too. Even the insulation is the same with 100g above the knee and 60g below the knee. The knee area is articulated for flexibility. There are eight convenient pockets and side leg zippers for easy on and off. These pants are also great for temps 40° and under just like the jacket.
I used to hate hunting in cold weather, but now I welcome it with this gear. It’s kept me pretty warm with very thin layers underneath. You get so many benefits with this gear for the money
that it’s definitely worth it. Plus you won’t go through a lot of scent spray since it alone conceals your scent. You never spray any Scentlok gear or it will clog up the technology and that defeats the purpose.
I also love the Mossy Oak Terra Gila pattern on them because it blends in so well with our woods. Another thing I personally love is that there’s no pink. Sure I’m a female, but that doesn’t mean I like pink, especially with my camo.
Fleece Pop-Top Gloves
Moving on to accessories, you’ve got to have some insulated gloves. These cozy gloves have fold-back mitt and thumbs to free up your fingers. They’re also made with the same carbon alloy technology as well. They keep my hands warm and I like having my fingers free when I need them to be, like for my phone or trigger finger.
Women’s Slouch Beanie
Now to top it all off, throw on this comfy and warm slouch beanie to keep your head warm. This beanie is made with the same carbon alloy technology like the rest. It also has the NeverWet Technology that repels water, blood, mud, and other liquids. It’s even made with wicking technology for moisture management as well.
You get so much advantage when hunting with these Scentlok items. First, you get the Carbon Alloy Technology to keep you scent free. Next, you are protected from the wind and getting soaked by rain. You stay warm from the insulation and you blend in well with the environment, all while still looking cute as well. Stay warm, ladies and hunt on…
